Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Holter Scanning Technician responsible for performing 24-hour Holter monitoring on patients. You will analyze and interpret the obtained data to identify abnormalities and communicate findings to physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and fit Holter monitors on patients and ensure proper functioning.
  • Interpret Holter monitors and compile comprehensive reports for medical professionals.
  • Manage inventory of Holter monitors and ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Assist with other cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures as necessary.
  • Support the continuous improvement of monitoring techniques and protocols.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive patient information.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate or Diploma in Cardiac Technology or equivalent
  • Experience with ECG interpretation
Experience
  • Experience with cardiac rhythm analysis and pacemaker programming is advantageous

  • HPCSA Registration
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with patient counselling: Ability to provide information and support to patients undergoing testing.
