Job Description

As a Cancer Registrar, you will manage and update our cancer registry databases, ensuring the accuracy of patient information and treatment outcomes. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, you will gather essential data to support cancer research and improve patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection, storage, and management of cancer data.
  • Ensure data is collected in accordance with ethical standards.
  • Assist with audits and prepare documentation for regulatory bodies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for cancer data inquiries.
  • Facilitate training sessions on database systems.
  • Keep abreast of developments in cancer registration to enhance processes.
  • Engage with external agencies for data reporting and compliance.
  • Mentor junior staff and interns in data management best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • A Master’s degree in Health Information Management or related field is a plus
Experience
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Languages
