Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth IT operations by providing technical support and troubleshooting issues across the organization. You will be responsible for assisting users with their IT needs, from hardware setup to software installation, ensuring systems function optimally.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve user support requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform installations and upgrades of software and hardware.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure for optimal performance.
  • Ensure data backups are performed regularly and correctly.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of IT projects.
  • Support mobile and remote access for users.
  • Assist in developing IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support for company software applications.
  • Analyze current IT processes and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for IT processes and configurations.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma or similar qualification in IT
  • Degree in Computer Science or IT preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as an IT Support Technician
