Job Description

HealthFirst Pharmacy is searching for a dedicated Pharmacist to enhance our dynamic team in Johannesburg. This position involves overseeing the preparation and dispensation of medication, advising patients on health supplements, and ensuring the pharmacy meets regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be passionate about patient care and will bring innovation to our practice.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the appropriateness of medications for patients.
  • Conduct consultations to prepare personalized medication plans.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to enhance patient therapies.
  • Handle pharmacy operations to ensure high standards.
  • Manage supply chain with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Lead workshops and health seminars in the community.
  • Implement new pharmacy technologies and software.
  • Review policy changes impacting pharmacy practice.
  • Maximize patient interactions to improve adherence rates.
  • Assist in regulatory audits and quality control measures.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), MPharm is preferable
  • Registered with South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 3-5 years of pharmacist experience or equivalent
