We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our clients' networks and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and assessing potential risks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and hands-on experience with various security tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus programs.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.
• Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory agencies regarding security incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response

Technical Skills

• Computer Forensics
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Detail-Oriented

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Incident Response Frameworks: Experience in responding to and managing cybersecurity incidents.
• Certifications such as CISM or GIAC: Additional certifications in cybersecurity are a plus.
