Job Description

As an Obstetrician at Healthcare Solutions Ltd., you will provide comprehensive care for expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, during childbirth, and in the postpartum period. Your role will include monitoring patients' health and advising on health-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform prenatal assessments and diagnostic tests to determine maternal and fetal health.
• Guide patients through labour, ensuring a safe and healthy delivery.
• Address complications during pregnancy and delivery as they arise.
• Actively engage in continuous medical education to stay updated on new methods and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Develop care plans for patients with special needs during pregnancy.
• Lead discussions with patients regarding family planning and postnatal care.
• Promote wellness programs and prenatal classes in the community.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Schedule and coordinate staffing for obstetric services.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in obstetrics

• Registered Medical Doctor (SA)
