Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our innovative team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to clients. You will play a vital role in developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ mental health needs through interviews and psychological testing.
• Facilitate therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Document treatment and progress in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in community education to promote mental wellness.
• Stay updated with the latest research in the field of psychology.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
• Specialization in child or adolescent psychology is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in clinical settings

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Group Therapy Facilitation

Soft Skills

• Conflict Resolution
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified in Psychoanalysis
• Crisis Intervention Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in community mental health settings: Hands-on experience in working within community mental health frameworks.
• Bilingual abilities (English and Afrikaans): Strong ability to work with clients in both English and Afrikaans.
