We seek an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, responsible for evaluating risk and making informed decisions on insurance applications.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve insurance applications based on established guidelines.
• Engage with clients to clarify any discrepancies in applications.
• Provide risk management solutions to clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes.
• Develop underwriting criteria to enhance decision-making efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree or professional designation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in the insurance sector

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute (FII)
