Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient health status and concerns.
• Implement nursing interventions based on assessment.
• Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients.
• Document nursing care and patient progress in medical records.
• Engage in continued professional development and training.
• Mentor new nursing staff and sensitive interns.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Engage with patient families and promote care continuity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Clinical specialty certification preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Wound Care Management
• IV Therapy

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Leadership experience preferred: Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an asset.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR): Experience navigating EHR systems for patient tracking and documentation.
