Logistics Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to play a pivotal role in our Durban office. The ideal candidate will oversee and streamline our logistics operations, manage a dedicated team, and ensure timely delivery of services to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all logistical activities across multiple locations.
• Assess and enhance the performance of logistics service providers.
• Implement new technologies to improve logistics operations.
• Ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.
• Advise senior management on logistics strategy and policies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics management

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis
• Inventory Management

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of international shipping regulations: Understanding of compliance and regulations in different regions.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Hands-on experience in using WMS for inventory control.
