Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Public Health Officer to join our team in Cape Town, where you will contribute to public health initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes. The successful candidate will engage in health education, disease prevention strategies, and health promotion activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor health education campaigns.
• Assess community needs and resources to develop targeted health initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on health topics.
• Conduct research on health trends and outcomes.
• Coordinate with government and non-governmental agencies to align health strategies.
• Advise on public health issues affecting the community.
• Manage program budgets and ensure resource allocation.
• Develop policy recommendations based on health data analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or health promotions
