Responsibilities

• Oversee the health and treatment of patients at the clinic.
• Engage with clients to build trust and lasting relationships.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care.
• Provide exceptional care during surgical procedures.
• Help manage inventory and supplies for the surgical suite.
• Support continued education and training for staff.
• Participate in veterinary conferences and workshops.
• Lead initiatives to enhance animal welfare and community education.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies, if required.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere for staff and clients alike.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Veterinary Science is preferred
• Further qualifications in specialized veterinary practice are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of diverse experience in small and large animal practice

• Advanced Veterinary Practice Certificate
• Critical Care for Veterinarians Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus: Ability to communicate in multiple languages is beneficial for client relations.
