DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth-based team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving our CI/CD processes, automating deployments, and managing cloud infrastructure. You should have a strong understanding of containerization technologies and experience with cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Take part in architectural discussions to improve system design and operations.
• Provide support and training for development teams in best practices for CI/CD.
• Regularly review and optimize existing infrastructure and deployments.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and incident management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in relevant DevOps roles

Technical Skills

• GCP
• Ansible

• Analytical thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins: Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
