As an Insurance Underwriter in our Durban branch, you will play a vital role in evaluating policy submissions and determining coverage levels. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping clients achieve their insurance needs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake thorough evaluations of insurance applications.
• Provide clear explanations for underwriting decisions to agents and customers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders in the insurance chain.
• Analyze statistical data to forecast risk and market trends.
• Adapt underwriting criteria based on market standards and insurer guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Underwriting Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications

Languages
