Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in East London. In this role, you'll assess and implement therapeutic interventions to improve the quality of life for patients recovering from injuries or coping with disabilities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans that empower patients to regain their independence.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients’ needs and establish realistic and achievable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement tailored therapy interventions for both adults and children.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and professional codes of conduct.
  • Provide feedback and reports on patient progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Offer counseling and support to patients facing challenges in recovery.
  • Manage a caseload effectively while prioritizing tasks appropriately.
  • Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system.
  • Stay abreast of advances in occupational therapy through continuous learning.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred
  • HPCSA registration is mandatory
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a specialized occupational therapy role
