We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our skilled team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and have experience in clinical settings. You will assist veterinarians in diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
• Conduct intake assessments for new patients.
• Assist in the management of anesthesia during surgeries.
• Help with the rehabilitation of recovering animals.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop treatment plans.
• Maintain communication with pet owners regarding their pet's care.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
• Further qualifications in veterinary nursing is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic setting
