Job Description

Join our Johannesburg office as an IT Support Specialist. This position involves providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth running of IT services across our organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing support to users, responding to support requests.
• Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions quickly.
• Install hardware and software as required.
• Maintain documentation of support activities and resolutions.
• Assist in training users on new technologies.
• Keep abreast of IT developments and technologies.
• Work closely with vendors for hardware and software services.
• Ensure compliance with IT security measures.
• Perform regular system backups and data maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT or related field
• Bachelor's degree is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in technical support

Technical Skills

• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Software Installation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA): Certification demonstrating knowledge in networking fundamentals.
