Job Description

We seek a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our mental health team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality psychotherapy and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological tests and interpret results to inform treatment.
• Provide counseling to individuals, groups, and families.
• Document treatment progress and adjust plans as necessary.
• Assist in training and supervising interns and junior staff.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills.
• Advocate for patient care improvements within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
• PhD in Psychology is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in clinical psychology practice

• Crisis Intervention
• Cognitive Therapy

Certifications

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist
• Mental Health First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in school-based psychology: Background in providing psychological services within educational settings.
