U.S. Revenue Officer

Job Description

The U.S. Revenue Officer is responsible for investigating and enforcing taxpayer compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. This position requires a strong background in accounting, auditing, or law enforcement. You will conduct investigations, collect delinquent taxes, and provide advice to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial records and transactions to identify discrepancies.
• Conduct audits of tax returns and provide expertise in tax law.
• Investigate suspected cases of tax fraud and recommend appropriate actions.
• Liaising with government and internal departments for evidence gathering.
• Assist in training junior staff on tax compliance and auditing.
• Prepare statistical data for compliance reports.
• Engage with taxpayers to facilitate understanding of compliance requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Advanced degree in accounting, finance, criminal justice, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance or auditing
