Job Description

We are looking for an Airways Control Specialist, responsible for directing and communicating with pilots regarding takeoffs, landings, and flight paths. Bring your expertise in air traffic management to our innovative team!

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control air traffic in assigned airspace.
• Direct and communicate with pilots regarding takeoff, landing, and flight paths.
• Provide weather updates and pertinent information to pilots and air traffic control personnel.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control centres for safe air travel.
• Enforce aviation regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of air traffic control operations.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of air traffic control equipment.
• Train and mentor new air traffic control personnel.
• Stay updated with advances in air traffic control technology and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field
• Air traffic control certification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in air traffic control

Technical Skills

• Flight tracking software
• Radar systems
• Weather monitoring tools

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in busy airports: Previous experience working in a busy airport or air traffic control center preferred.
• Fluent in multiple languages: Fluency in languages commonly used in aviation is advantageous.
