Weigher/Scale Agent

Job Description

As a Weigher/Scale Agent, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of weight measurements for incoming and outgoing goods. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and calibrating weighing equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on weighing scales for accuracy.
• Assist in loading and unloading of goods as necessary.
• Document and report any equipment malfunctions or inconsistent readings.
• Participate in health and safety training sessions regularly.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the logistics team in ensuring timely and accurate shipments.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• No previous experience required, on-the-job training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with inventory management software

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in manufacturing or logistics industry: Knowledge of operations in similar environments is beneficial.
• Experience working with weighing and scaling equipment: Prior exposure would be an advantage.
