Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Impact Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting environmental assessments and will be passionate about promoting sustainability practices. You will play a crucial role in evaluating projects for potential environmental impacts and providing actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental impact assessments and prepare associated reports.
  • Consult with clients to understand project objectives and environmental concerns.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified environmental risks.
  • Contribute to public participation processes in environmental assessments.
  • Conduct training and workshops on environmental compliance and sustainability for client staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure environmental factors are integrated into project design.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of findings and recommendations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 3 years minimum in a similar role or environmental consultancy
