Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our Durban team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing environmentally sustainable solutions that meet regulatory requirements and promote ecological health. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design projects that aim to mitigate environmental impacts while ensuring community engagement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the environmental performance of projects.
• Develop and implement environmental strategies for sustainability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations.
• Analyze regulatory changes and their implications.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers on sustainable practices.
• Lead training sessions on environmental awareness.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) designation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Geospatial Analysis
• Environmental Modeling Software

Certifications

• Professional Registration with ECSA
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
