Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, be adept at risk assessment, and capable of implementing effective security measures to safeguard our clients' information systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with third-party vendors.
• Lead incident response activities and develop response strategies.
• Prepare security reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Enhance threat intelligence capabilities through research and data analysis.
• Participate in ongoing security projects and initiatives.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure security policies are implemented effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Information Assurance
• Endpoint Protection

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Presentation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with security frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
• Experience in developing security awareness training: Skilled in creating and delivering training programs for employees.
