Logging Worker

Job Description

As a Bark Spudder, you will be responsible for removing bark from trees and logs using specialized machinery. This position requires a keen eye for detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize bark spudding equipment for effective bark removal.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards during operations.
• Communicate with site supervisors regarding job progress.
• Provide input on improving efficiency and safety on site.
• Ensure PPE is worn and maintained at all times.
• Assist in training new workers on equipment operation.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on tools used daily.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma
• Certifications or training in forestry or a related field (advantageous)

Experience

• Experience in related fields is preferred, on-the-job training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Bark spudding machinery knowledge
• Environmental compliance understanding

Languages

• English: Fluent
