Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Architectural Designer to join our lively team in Cape Town. In this role, you will spearhead innovative architectural projects, focusing on both residential and commercial designs that integrate functionality with aesthetics. Your expertise in sustainable design practices will be invaluable as we strive to create environmentally friendly structures while ensuring we meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop architectural designs for residential and commercial projects.
• Perform feasibility studies and site analysis to inform design decisions.
• Liaise with clients to refine project goals and specifications throughout the design process.
• Utilize architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to produce detailed drawings.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for sustainable design.
• Adapt designs in response to feedback from clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate coordination with engineering and construction teams during the project lifecycle.
• Provide support during the construction phase, managing changes or issues.
• Keep abreast of architectural trends to bring innovative ideas to projects.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing insights and suggestions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Architecture is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in architecture

• SketchUp
• Photoshop

Certifications

• Architectural Design Certification
• Professional Project Management Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
