CAD Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join our Midrand team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD) with proficiency in creating detailed engineering drawings and models.

Responsibilities

• Design and model complex components using CAD tools.
• Assess the impact of design changes and communicate effects.
• Support the engineers in evaluating project risks and opportunities.
• Participate in the testing and implementation of new design techniques.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with company standards and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Engineering is preferred
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of CAD engineering experience

Technical Skills

• CATIA
• Inventor

Soft Skills

• Creative Problem Solving
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance: Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards in engineering.
• Experience with virtual reality visualizations: Proficient in using VR technology to create design presentations.
