We are looking for an experienced Actuary to be part of our team in Cape Town. In this role, you'll analyze risk and uncertainty, and provide strategic guidance to clients across various industries. Work alongside experts in a collaborative environment that values your contributions.

Responsibilities

• Implement actuarial techniques to evaluate potential future events.
• Assist in the preparation of annual actuarial reports.
• Support regulatory compliance by ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and tailor services accordingly.
• Drive innovation in actuarial practices and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Fellowship or Associate qualification from an actuarial society is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in actuarial analysis

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis
• Financial Modelling
• Excel/VBA

Certifications

• Certified Actuary (CAS or SOA)
• Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet, SAS, or similar: Knowledge of industry-standard actuarial software.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments: Ability to analyze and interpret financial products.
