Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage critical situations with confidence, providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Experience in emergency care is essential, and a compassionate approach to patient management is paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in triaging patients based on their medical needs.
  • Perform minor medical procedures and support major surgeries as necessary.
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the emergency room.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical situations.
  • Stay updated with best practices in emergency nursing.
  • Collaborate on patient care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage in regular training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in emergency healthcare or trauma nursing
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric emergency care

Certifications
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
