Job Description

As an Architect with Innovative Designs Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing architectural plans that reflect our commitment to sustainability and modern aesthetics. You will work closely with clients and collaborate with engineers and builders to bring designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present architectural designs that reflect client needs and aesthetic principles.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other professionals throughout the design process.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site analysis to determine project viability.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Supervise construction and modifications of structures as needed.
• Prepare and manage project documentation and reports.
• Utilize design software to create detailed plans and specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and building codes to enhance design processes.
• Engage in client meetings to discuss project status and deliver design solutions.
• Participate in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Architecture is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as an Architect

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit
• SketchUp

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Communication
• Project Management

Certifications

• Registered Architect in South Africa
• LEED Accredited Professional (AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with sustainable design practices: Knowledge of green building standards and sustainability in architecture.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Awareness of Cape Town's municipal and provincial building codes.
