Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, ensuring that medication management is both effective and safe, while providing exceptional support to healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage medication therapy for diverse patient populations.
• Provide expert advice on drug interactions and side effects.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Prepare and present educational sessions for healthcare professionals.
• Ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
• Support medication reconciliation processes during patient transitions.
• Contribute to research initiatives in pharmacotherapy.
• Implement protocols for medication management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree or equivalent in Clinical Pharmacy is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist

• Pharmacology

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist in South Africa
• Clinical Pharmacy Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
