Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Ship Laborer to join our crew. The successful candidate will perform various onboard tasks to ensure the ship operates smoothly and efficiently. Ideal candidates will have experience in maritime operations and must possess essential physical stamina and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in physically demanding tasks that require stamina.
• Learn navigation assistance strategies from crew leaders.
• Support deckhands in daily operational activities.
• Maintain communication with the crew during operations.
• Participate in cleanliness and waste management.
• Work closely with engineers to understand equipment operations.
• Support training initiatives for new crew members.
• Ensure adherence to maritime safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum of Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate required

Experience

• Experience in cargo handling is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety regulations
• Basic mechanical skills

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt

Certifications

• Basic Safety Training Certificate
• Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
