Event Planner

Job Description

As an Event Planner at Event Planning Masters in Cape Town, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing events from conception to completion. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and ensure every detail is perfectly executed. Your creativity and organizational skills will be key in planning corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings that stand out.

Responsibilities

• Establish event objectives and success criteria in collaboration with clients.
• Supervise event set-up and breakdown processes.
• Manage budgets and create financial reports post-event.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable rates.
• Assist with marketing strategies to promote events and generate leads.
• Maintain a master calendar of upcoming events and deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
• Additional courses in marketing or public relations are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in event planning, including budgeting and vendor selection

Certifications

• Certified Special Events Planner (CSEP)
