Job Description

A Pastry Finisher at Top Tier Bakery plays a crucial role in bringing our dessert visions to life. You will be responsible for decorating pastries and ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Decorate and finish a variety of pastries, ensuring high presentation standards.
  • Design creative decorations and toppings that appeal to customers.
  • Work with the culinary team to refine and perfect pastry recipes.
  • Assist with inventory management and the ordering of materials.
  • Train junior staff on best practices for pastry finishing.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss production goals.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Conduct taste tests and quality checks for finished products.
  • Research new pastry trends and techniques to enhance offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing on promotional pastry displays.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A pastry qualification would be preferred.
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a bakery or pastry shop.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of pastry finishing techniques
  • Experience with baking equipment

Languages
  • English: Fluent
