Job Description

As a Watermaster Technician, you will be crucial to managing the water supply and distribution systems for a municipality. Your role will involve overseeing maintenance and repair operations for water treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pipelines, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of water supply and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with water systems.
• Operate and monitor water treatment facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Prepare detailed reports on system performance and improvements.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians.
• Manage emergency responses related to water quality issues.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance and repair activities.
• Liaise with external contractors for major repair works.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in Water Management, Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in water operations or a related field.
