Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to all patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Support the healthcare team in achieving quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
• Assist in medical procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Participate in health education programs for the community.
• Evaluate and improve nursing practices within the department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Experience

• 3+ years of nursing experience in a hospital setting

Technical Skills

• IV Therapy
• Wound Care Management

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans): Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR): Familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.
