Paws and Claws Grooming is looking for a dedicated Pet Groomer to enhance our team in Cape Town. You will handle a variety of grooming tasks, including washing, drying, and styling pets. Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-grooming assessments to ensure safety and comfort.
• Wash and dry pets, removing any mats or tangles.
• Apply specific grooming techniques tailored to each pet's needs.
• Maintain an inventory of grooming supplies and equipment.
• Assist in promoting grooming services and special offers.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Pet Grooming from an accredited institution

Experience

• 3+ years of grooming experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment Management
• Pet Skin and Coat Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid for Pets Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in pet behaviour and training: Ability to calm and handle pets effectively during grooming sessions.
• Additional languages spoken: Bilingual or multilingual capabilities to communicate with diverse clients.
