Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a Senior Civil Engineer who will design, develop, and oversee civil engineering projects in Johannesburg. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in managing project timelines, liaising with clients, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and designs for a variety of civil engineering projects.
• Ensure project objectives are met while maintaining compliance with local and national regulations.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure designs are executed accurately.
• Conduct risk assessments and project feasibility studies.
• Prepare and present project reports to management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and external partners.
• Manage sub-contractors and ensure their work meets contractual obligations.
• Evaluate project performance and implement improvements as required.
• Support the team in project planning and implementation activities.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years in infrastructure engineering projects

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• LEED Green Associate

Languages
