Job Description

Join our team at Animal Health Services as a Veterinarian in Bloemfontein. You will provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. This role requires both clinical and surgical skills, as well as a passion for animal welfare and excellent communication with pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular health assessments and vaccinations.
  • Perform surgeries including spaying and neutering.
  • Monitor and report on the health of animals in the clinic.
  • Provide nutritional consultations and dietary recommendations.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Handle emergency cases with care and efficiency.
  • Develop relationships with local animal shelters for cooperation.
  • Offer behavioral counseling for pets when needed.
  • Collaborate with external specialists for referrals and advanced care.
  • Conduct client education workshops on animal care.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Postgraduate Veterinary Qualifications are a plus
Experience
  • At least 5 years of clinical veterinary experience
