Job Description

As a Rail Yard Engineer, you will operate and maintain diesel dinkey locomotives, ensuring efficient transport of freight and passengers. Your role will involve routine inspections, maintaining safety regulations, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during locomotive operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to schedule routine checks and repairs.
• Monitor operational performance and make recommendations for efficiency improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with training on safety procedures.
• Participate in regular safety audits and inspections as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational qualification in rail transport is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the rail transport industry

Technical Skills

• Diesel Engine Maintenance
• Safety Compliance

Languages

• English: Fluent
