Job Description

As a General Practitioner with us in East London, you will play a vital role in promoting wellness and managing the healthcare needs of our patients. You should be adept at patient consultations, medical examinations, and crafting treatment strategies tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and management.
• Initiate and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Lead patient education initiatives on chronic disease management.
• Document clinical findings and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in peer reviews and case discussions.
• Support the healthcare team in achieving organizational goals.
• Maintain high ethical standards in patient care.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a primary care setting

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Intermediate
