Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Material Moving Worker (Coal Whipper) to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading coal, operating machinery, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met within the mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Handle coal operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Safely operate manual and powered tools for coal movement.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
• Report any incidents or issues to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
• Assist in conducting inspections of coal storage and handling equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or higher

Experience

• Experience working in the mining industry preferred

Technical Skills

• Forklift Certification
• Safety Compliance Knowledge

Advantageous

• Experience with Coal Handling Operations: Prior work in coal handling is highly advantageous.
• Team Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small team effectively.
