Responsibilities

• Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with local tax laws.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Work with financial advisors to integrate tax strategies into overall financial planning.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments for clients.
• Assist in tax planning initiatives for high-net-worth individuals.
• Prepare and analyze tax provision calculations.
• Support the Tax Manager in various tax projects.
• Engage in industry networking and continuing education opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in tax processes and reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive tax experience

Technical Skills

• Tax Law

Certifications

• South African Institute of Tax Professionals (SAIT)

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Understanding of VAT regulations: Knowledge of VAT laws and compliance requirements.
