Job Description

Seeking a dynamic Public Health Specialist to drive impactful health programs in Cape Town. You will engage with communities, assess health needs, and develop strategies to improve health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public health practices and a desire to make a tangible difference.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for public health initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret epidemiological data related to community health.
  • Foster partnerships between community organizations and health agencies.
  • Implement health promotion campaigns targeting high-risk populations.
  • Evaluate health programs through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate on policy formulation to address public health challenges.
  • Write grant applications to secure funding for health initiatives.
  • Participate in health education initiatives, addressing local health concerns.
  • Engage with stakeholders to discuss public health challenges and solutions.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related discipline
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant public health experience
