Job Description

Seeking a dynamic Public Health Specialist to drive impactful health programs in Cape Town. You will engage with communities, assess health needs, and develop strategies to improve health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public health practices and a desire to make a tangible difference.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate public health assessments and community health needs assessments.
  • Implement and oversee health education programs in targeted populations.
  • Analyze health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop collaboration opportunities between different healthcare stakeholders.
  • Advise on strategies for community engagement and health advocacy.
  • Assist in crisis management during public health emergencies.
  • Conduct training for healthcare providers on best practices in public health.
  • Support research initiatives within community health contexts.
  • Monitor legislation and policies that impact public health.
  • Contribute to the continuous update of public health resources and guidelines.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related discipline
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant public health experience
