We are seeking a proactive Shipping Operations Manager to oversee our logistics and delivery processes in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods while optimizing costs and improving service levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational aspects of the shipping department to achieve company objectives.
• Design and implement strategic initiatives to improve shipping delivery times.
• Manage budgets and optimize costs related to shipping operations.
• Conduct training sessions to improve team competencies in logistics.
• Evaluate and integrate new shipping technologies to improve productivity.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the shipping team.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
• Analyze competitive shipping strategies and adjust approaches accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and ensure alignment on shipping activities.
• Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in shipping and logistics operations
