Job Description

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will manage and support our dedicated team of volunteers in Johannesburg. This role involves recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers, as well as planning and executing community outreach events. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a passion for community service.

Responsibilities

  • Create a volunteer database to track participation and impact.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers to assess their needs and satisfaction.
  • Utilize social media and online platforms to enhance volunteer engagement.
  • Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to enhance volunteer opportunities.
  • Support the Program Director in strategic planning for future volunteer initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management or Community Development
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating volunteers or related experience
