As a Chemical Engineer in Port Elizabeth, you will be tasked with improving chemical production processes, monitoring laboratory results, and ensuring all protocols comply with safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Optimize existing chemical processes to improve yield and reduce costs.
• Develop process simulations and models for innovation.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure product compliance.

• Lead safety audits and ensure all protocols are met.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
• Mentor and train new employees in chemical engineering practices.
• Report findings to management and suggest areas for improvement.
• Work on process scale-up from lab to full production scale.
• Analyze production metrics and propose corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Additional certifications in process safety are preferable

Experience

• 3-7 years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
