Job Description

As a Bench Worker at Premier Woodworks Ltd., you will play an essential role in the creation and assembly of high-quality wooden furniture. Your proficient use of hand and power tools will allow you to bring designs to life while ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Use measuring tools to ensure precision in cutting and shaping materials.
  • Join and secure materials using appropriate methods and tools.
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and priming.
  • Follow production schedules and report progress to supervisors.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
  • Collaborate closely with design and production teams.
  • Test finished products for functionality and quality assurance.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and challenges.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate
  • Advanced woodworking qualification is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in a woodworking environment
