As a Registered Nurse, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of care within our Pietermaritzburg facility. This position involves assessing and documenting patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. A solid foundation in nursing practice and a compassionate approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care considering patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
• Implement evidence-based practices for quality patient care.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Liaise with families regarding care and treatment plans.
• Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership within the nursing team to foster collaboration.
• Support health promotion and disease prevention practices.
• Adhere to protocols for infection control and emergency management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Certification in Advanced Nursing Practice is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in an acute care setting preferred.
