We are excited to welcome a Smart Contract Developer to our Pretoria office. This role focuses on developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts on our blockchain platform, ensuring security and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop comprehensive blockchain solutions.
• Create unit tests to ensure contract functionality and reliability.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of blockchain trends and competing technologies.
• Foster a culture of openness and collaboration within the team.
• Engage with community to promote open-source blockchain initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Master's preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in smart contracts and blockchain applications

Technical Skills

• Solidity

Certifications

• Certified Blockchain Developer
• Ethereum Developer Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Layer 2 solutions: Experience with scaling solutions like Polygon and Optimistic Rollups.
• Knowledge of decentralized applications (dApps): Experience with developing dApps that leverage smart contracts.
